Dear Mission Trip Participants and Parents,
It is less than two months until our departure for Belize, we need to make sure everyone is on track and we need to start preparing our specific ministries. Our next meetings are Sunday, February 25 and Sunday March 4, both at 11:00 AM.
On February 25 students and staff will get a chance to “interview” each other to help determine team assignments as well as just getting to know everyone better. Time permitting we will prep some of our supplies. It will also be a chance for you to check to make sure we have medical forms, passport copies and at least 50 percent of the money in.
We have enclosed a letter from Joel Stoia, PA our Medical Director giving council on shots and safe travel practices. On March 4, Passport Health, a travel health business, is going to be here for additional questions and to administer any desired shots. Parents, that means you need to bring your checkbook and your pin-cushion, I mean student.
Don’t have half you money in yet? A sample fund raising letter you can customize is enclosed. But you better get it out ASAP. February 18 is the deadline for 50 percent of the trip cost to be in. We will not be purchasing tickets for those who are significantly below the $700 and who have not contacted Pastor Jason or me.
During our meetings we will also be sharing additional information with you about packing. (We will have very strict packing guidelines.) This will also be your opportunity to ask any questions that you may still have.
