Dear Team Member (and Parents),

First an urgent reminder that February 15 is the deadline to have 50% or $675 of your funds in. Mail or deliver them to the church office, clearly marked for the youth mission trip or give them to Pastor Shawn or Brian Show at church.

Next, a reminder about our meeting Sunday, February 22 at 11:30 AM, it is absolutely mandatory for anyone who was not at the last meeting and just mandatory for everyone else.  Seriously, contact Pastor Shawn or Brian Show if you cannot make this meeting.

The meeting will start with a short talk by Karen McClure of Passport Health on the health risks in the Dominican.  As a travel health firm they provide inoculations which you may choose to receive.  While none are required you may want to some minimize risks.  Payment for these services is required there and they do not bill medical insurance.  You may also make a private appointment at their offices or see your own personal physician.  Parents must be present for those under 18.

We will spend a few minutes getting to know each other better and doing some ministry training.  Projects will be reviewed and we will discuss some of the choices we will need to make about our outreach.  Some assignments will be made to minimize down time after we arrive. Make sure you have read the trip guidelines. There will be a quiz over them.  Ok so, there won’t be a grade but things go smoothly when they are perfectly followed, really! 

Reasons to come early:

1. Check in by 11:20 and make sure your name is correct on your ticket and everything is in.

2. Turn in any missing items if not please let us know exactly when they will be in.

3. The sooner we start the sooner we finish.

Missing items & deadlines: If you have any missing times I have noted them with this letter.   The deadline for 90% of the money is March 10, two weeks before we travel.  You can imagine how pressed we will be in the final days to get money moved for our projects.  If you have money coming in after the 10^th please let us know and we will work with you.

Time is short – please keep us up on your progress.  And please, you must let us know if you cannot make the February 22 meeting.
